Dayton Hamvention® 2010 Flea Market General Information
Dayton Hamvention® 2010 Flea Market
Flea Market sales rose 19 percent in 2009! We had 18,877 people realize their "dream" when they attended Dayton Hamvention® 2009. Whether they scoured the Flea Market for a unique item, looked to find equipment to fulfill their "dream” of building a tower or a radio, saw old friends or had the occasion to make new ones, people were "imagining the possibilities." Others still have the "dream" to attend a Dayton Hamvention. We invite you and hope you can realize your "dream" to attend Dayton Hamvention® 2010.
NOTICE - Beginning Wednesday, May 12, e-mail and telephone response will be extremely limited as the Flea Market Committee will be at Hara Arena preparing for Dayton Hamvention® 2010. If you have questions, please stop by the Flea Market Office upon arrival.

Basic Information
The Dayton Hamvention® 2010 will be held on May 14-16 with unassisted installation
of your displays on May 13, 8 a.m. until midnight and on May 14 and 15 from
6-7:30 a.m. Dismantling will take place on May 16, from the time the displays
close until 8 p.m. Any other times require approval of the Flea Market Chairwoman/Assistant
Chairman.
To all Flea Market Vendors:
The approximate size of each Flea Market space is 9 x 17 feet or 153 square feet. You must park any vehicle that extends into the pedestrian aisle in the courtesy lot on the west end of the Flea Market. See the Dayton Hamvention® 2010 Flea Market Rule Sheet.
If you are going to have a tent, fly, or a pop-up of any kind covering more than 200 square feet, you must have both a Montgomery County and City of Trotwood permits and an inspection. Upon the issuance of the permits, you must submit a copy of the permit to the Dayton Hamvention® 2010 Flea Market Committee.
There is a maximum of two Flea Market vendor admission tickets per Flea Market space. These allow you access to the Flea Market area for set-up before the arena opens. If more than two tickets per space are needed, you must then purchase general admission tickets. The general admission tickets allow access to the entire Dayton Hamvention® 2010, e.g., Inside Exhibits, Forums, Flea Market, etc.
Vendors who mailed their orders in 2009 and/or did not use the web need to email Fleamarket@Hamvention.org to receive their log on information for reserving spaces via the website.
There is no charge for vehicle space passes. You can receive one pass per space, and it must be displayed so it is visible through the front windshield.
We use the prefix of "FW" for Flea Market-West and "FE" for Flea Market-East to make finding vendor sites easier. The numbers following the prefix will stay the same as previous years, e.g., FW 2301 or FE 2008.
Ham club spaces will be along the back row. Club space requests cannot be accomplished automatically in Booth Tracker (online reservation system) and must be done by Hamvention staff. Please download the application form, complete it, and either mail, fax, or e-mail it, along with one of the following to certify club existence: 1) Not-for-Profit status certificate; 2) ARRL registration; 3) Club callsign license; 4) Copy of club newsletter; 5) Copy of club letterhead. Your order will be processed manually upon receipt.
If you log onto Booth Tracker, the green spaces have been reserved, the blue spaces have been reserved and paid for.
Please be sure to read the Ohio Tax Letter, the Dayton Hamvention® 2010 Flea Market Rules, and this year’s rates.
The West Flea Market has undergone a layout change. We have recently constructed an aisle from the 0300 Row to the 3700 Row. The aisle is two spaces wide which means that two spaces were eliminated from each of the inclusive rows. Vendors in those eliminated spaces were moved to other spaces. Every effort was made to keep vendors as close to their previous neighbors as possible. This move allows easier access to maneuver among the spaces. In addition, it creates 36 more end caps, which are always in high demand. Because it was done last month and also due to the current orders, the end caps that were created will not have a price increase to the normal $100 per end cap this year. Prices will remain at $70. However, these new end caps will increase to the $100 price next year. Thanks!– Your Flea Market Committee.
The volunteers of the Flea Market Committee are looking forward to seeing you
at the Dayton Hamvention® 2010 and will do everything possible to make your
visit an enjoyable one.
