2007 HAMVENTION® Fleamarket Rules
1. A HAMVENTION® admission ticket marked Fleamarket is
required for each individual to access the Fleamarket area for setup
prior to 8:00 AM Friday.
2. Vending or trading on HARA property is permitted only during
HAMVENTION® show open hours. Not before or after.
3. Standard Fleamarket space size is nominally 9'X17'. No vehicle/setup
may exceed the designated marked area of the spaces purchased.
4. Fleamarket spaces are for the purpose of selling or trading amateur
radio, electronic or related equipment or supplies. Spaces not being
used for this purpose may be reclaimed and reallocated by the
Fleamarket Committee.
5. Security personnel will be in the area, but HAMVENTION® is not
responsible for the security of the exhibitor's property.
6. Motorized traffic in the Fleamarket area during the show IS NOT
PERMITTED. All vehicles must be located within the assigned Fleamarket
space(s) or out of the Fleamarket vendor area thirty minutes prior to
show opening time each day. Vehicles that do not comply may be towed at
the owner's expense. Vehicles may not leave until thirty minutes after
closing each day.
7. Any and all powered and non-powered means of personal
transportation, other than legitimate HAMVENTION® authorized/required
handicapped vehicles, are strictly prohibited. Except for working
assistance animals, pets are not allowed in the Fleamarket area.
8. Food and beverage sales by anyone other than Dayton Hara Arena are
not permitted on the premises. No glass food or beverage containers are
permitted in the Fleamarket area.
9. Open flames, portable propane tanks, cooking grills, stoves, and
other potential hazards are not permitted in the Fleamarket area.
Self-contained vehicles must have all propane tanks disconnected.
10. No excessively loud music, voices or noise are permitted due to
zoning regulations.(turn to other side)
11. No firearms or weapons are permitted on the Dayton Hara Complex
property.
12. Fleamarket spaces are non-transferable. Please contact the Dayton
HAMVENTION® Fleamarket Committee if you need to dispose of your spaces.
13. The use of portable generators in the Fleamarket area is strongly
discouraged by the Fire Marshall. Complaints of noise from generators
will be resolved in favor of the individuals being disturbed by the
generator.
14. Fleamarket must clear the premises by 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
15. No holes are permitted in the blacktop at the Dayton Hara Complex.
Violations will result in a $50.00 charge per hole. Charges must be
paid at the Fleamarket Office within two hours of the Fleamarket
notification of fine/charges due.
16. All tents greater than 200 square feet must have a HAMVENTION®
Permit. This permit must be requested prior to April 1, 2007. To apply
for this permit, contact the Fleamarket office via e-mail (Fleamarket@hamvention.org
). All tents must be free standing, fit within your designated space,
and secured without damage to the blacktop. All tents are subject to
inspection by the City of Trotwood and Montgomery County. See form on
fleamarket main page for required information on application.
17. Excessive trash and refuse left by a Fleamarket Vendor will result
in an additional charge to the vendor for disposal.
18. No selling or displaying of "adult oriented" material is permitted.
19. Due to local zoning restrictions, no camping or overnight sleeping
is permitted at Dayton Hara Complex.
20. No tables or chairs are available for the Fleamarket from Dayton
HAMVENTION® or Dayton Hara Complex. You are welcome to provide your
own. Outside rental companies are not permitted to deliver or pick up
at Dayton Hara Complex.
21. No Fleamarket vehicles are permitted on Dayton Hara Complex until
8:00 a.m. Thursday, except by prior arrangement with the Fleamarket
Chair.
22. Any violations to the above rules may result in expulsion without
refund from the Fleamarket and Dayton HAMVENTION®.
