Museums/Historical Points of Interest
 
-Follow the Aviation Trail to learn about Dayton’s history in flight. The Aviation Trail features many historical sites, museums, and parks. There are 47 sites in all. For information, call: (937) 443-0793.
 
 -Visit the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force to see how the history of planes, weapons, and space flight. Museum is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free, but there is a fee for the IMAX.  For information, call (937) 255-3284.
 
-Experience Dayton history at the Historical Carillon Park. You can visit the park Tuesday-Saturday 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.  For information, call: (937) 293-2841.
 
-Visit the Dayton Art Institute along with its many permanent collection’s galleries! General admission is free! Open daily10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Thursdays 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
 
-Explore 70 exhibits and 14 galleries including 5 seamless acrylic tunnels totaling over 200 feet at the Newport Aquarium in Kentucky. Open daily. For information, call (859) 261-7444
 
-See it, do it, and discover it all at Dayton’s Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Open daily. For information, call (937) 275-7431.
 
-Experience the daily life and culture of Dayton’s first neighborhood, the 900 year old Fort Ancient at Sunwatch Indian Village. Open daily. For information, call (937) 268-8199.
 
-Learn about the first man on the moon at the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Oh just one hour north of Dayton.  Open M-Sat. 9:30a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Sundays 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. For information, call 1-800-860-0142.
